Welcome to Wagly Walky ("the App"). We deeply respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. Wagly Walky is designed as a privacy-first, local-only dog walking and fitness tracking application.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand how we handle your information.
1. Information Collection and Use
Wagly Walky does not own or operate external servers to collect, store, or transmit your personally identifiable information (PII). All processing occurs locally on your devices:
- Health & Fitness Data (HealthKit): With your explicit permission, the App accesses and writes Workout data (such as walking duration, active calories burned, and heart rate) via Apple HealthKit. This data is strictly used to display your dog walking workouts and activity rings within the App and Watch complications.
- App Preferences: Your customization choices (e.g., selected dog breeds, coat colors) and local walk logs are stored strictly on your local device using standard Apple APIs (
UserDefaults / AppStorage).
- In-App Purchases: Transactions are securely processed entirely by Apple via the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or real name.
2. Special Commitment to HealthKit Data
In strict compliance with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines:
- No Advertising/Marketing: We will never use data collected through HealthKit for marketing, advertising, or data mining purposes.
- No Third-Party Sharing: Your HealthKit data will not be sold, rented, or disclosed to any third-party advertisers, data brokers, or analytics platforms.
- Strictly Functional: HealthKit data is solely utilized to provide and improve the core workout tracking features within Wagly Walky.
3. Data Storage and Security
Because we do not use remote servers, all your application data remains locally on your iPhone and Apple Watch. Data security is governed by iOS and watchOS system-level encryption and sandboxing. You can delete all local data at any time simply by uninstalling the App.
4. Third-Party Analytics and Tracking
Wagly Walky contains no third-party SDKs, advertising networks, or user tracking frameworks. We do not track your activity across other apps or websites.
5. Children's Privacy
Our App does not address or knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. Since no personal data is transmitted off the device, the App poses no privacy risks to children.
